It takes a long time for consciousness to reach the human stage of development. Nothing valuable is ever learned easily or instantly. It has to be a gradual process. When you become human, you have to incorporate what it is to be everything.
Once consciousness incarnates in human form, we have to learn what it is like to be every kind of human: both genders and every race. If you think about it, how could you possibly learn about everything it means to be human if you only incarnated as a male or female, or only as one race in one part of the world? You have to be and live every facet of humanity. That is why you are drawn to cultures and places very far away and very different from the one you live in now. You had past lives in those places.
As you progress through humanity, you have to experience everything before you can graduate and complete the evolution of consciousness as a human being. You have to be rich and poor, and live in every possible place and situation during the human lessons.
The rules of reincarnation and consciousness are very clear: if you are carrying prejudice against any race or religion that is not resolved by the time you leave this life, you will have to return to experience the very thing you are prejudiced against.
The main concept behind reincarnation and the human evolution of consciousness is learning not to judge. We are all here in the same school at different stages of development. We are all aiming for the same goal: learn our lessons, complete the school and graduate so we can return to God.
